URAC staff took our expertise and winning personalities to the CMSA 2017 Annual Conference in Austin, Texas, last week.URAC Vice President of Operations, Marlene Bolster, MBA, presented on “New Case Management Opportunities in Advancing Post-Acute Care Goals.” And URAC Vice President and Redefine Health Executive Director, Deborah Smith, RN, MN, RNC, co-presented on “Case Management: Moving Forward to Transform Amid a Sea of Change,” with Integrity Consulting and Advocacy President and CEO, and former URAC Board Member Cheri Lattimer.
Meanwhile, myself and Sales Executive Joe Touchstone held down the URAC booth in the Exhibit Hall. We were greeted by a host of case managers, most of whom know URAC well (and like us). Since its inception, URAC’s Case Management Accreditation program has aligned with CMSA’s guidelines. The case managers, a mix of nurses and social workers, were eager to share their insights with us. Even better, many were eager to recommend URAC programs to new organizations seeking accreditation for the first time.
Overall the event was a huge success, and we’re looking forward to joining the case managers for the CMSA 2018 conference in Chicago.
