While a small, yet close knit company it’s a rare opportunity when the entire URAC team gets to party. Such a chance arose this past month during the hottest and most humid week of our summer.
On June 13th through the 15th the erstwhile remote members of the Accrediting and Client Services Team landed at the URAC home office with a load of enthusiasm and fresh ideas, ready to share and discuss the latest trends and needs impacting URAC Clients and Accreditation process.
The Review Teams’ visit began Tuesday night with dinner at Toro Toro, the new Pan Latin Tapas restaurant on I (Eye) street. There they joined the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) and members of the Executive group. A wrap-up outing on Wednesday night began with dinner and led to a “DC @ Night Tour.” Our luxury tour bus left the Morrison Clark at 7 p.m. The group had the opportunity to see some of DC’s favorite sites, including the Capital, White House, World War II and Martin Luther King Memorials. The night ended with an unexpected junket across the Potomac to view the lwo Jima Memorial.
Living near Washington, DC it is easy to become accustomed to our historical surroundings. Traveling with the Review Team gave all who attended the opportunity to revisit a favorite spot or the chance to view a yet unforeseen location, with a fresh eye and a new appreciation.
