Formerly CHQI’s Telemedicine Accreditation Program (TAP) v2.1, we are pleased to announce that the publications are now available for URAC’s Telehealth Accreditation v2.2 program. Product Development, in consultation with URAC CEO Shawn Griffin, MD and Karen Watts, Vice President, Accreditation and Client Services, elected to make rebranding modifications and minor edits to the program acquired as part of the CHQI asset purchase.
Why:
- URAC purchased a well-constructed accreditation program.
- Strong market penetration to date.
- Number of accredited organizations under CHQI program
- Pipeline of CHQI Telemedicine Accreditation prospects
- Expedite product implementation.
- Minimize disruption to clients, applicants and prospects during the asset purchase transition.
It is clear that a significant amount of work went into the development of this program prior to URAC’s purchase.
The acquisition of this program accelerated the work that URAC was planning to undertake in 2020. As the telehealth market evolves and/or consumer quality, safety or regulatory issues arise, URAC will continue to build on this work.
