As you’re aware, URAC started the new year with the purchase of CHQI’s telemedicine and Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Parity (Parity) products. The purchase of these products marked a concerted effort to expand our footprint in two areas that are vital to the future of care delivery in America.
A great deal of work was done by many to execute the contract on Dec. 31st, but this marked the beginning of the work for a great many more to ensure that the transition of the CQHI products and over two-dozen clients is successful.
One key tenet has guided this first month of the transition: serve our new telehealth and Parity clients and stakeholders in a manner that honors their work and commitment to improve the quality of care patients receive.
In just four weeks URAC has accomplished the following:
- Revised URAC’s website to reflect our new products.
- Updated our Accreditation Directory to reflect our new clients.
- Contacted new clients to introduce URAC and meet our CEO.
- Formally launched for sale URAC’s new Telehealth and Parity products.
- Held a contract kick-off meeting with the Maryland Dept. of Health for the state’s use of URAC’s ParityManager™ tool.
- Contacted members of CHQI’s Accreditation and Standards Committees.
- Support CHQI IT platforms to ensure continuity for new clients.
- Campaign launched to introduce URAC and Shawn to key parity stakeholders. Meetings have already taken place with major health plans, advocacy organizations, and a behavioral health carve-out company.
In the coming weeks we will be working to evaluate our new assets to understand how we may couple our three decades of experience with the innovative approach of these two products.
A special thank you to Houeida, IT, and our Client Relation Managers who have led our efforts to transition our new clients in a smooth manner.
A big shout-out to the Sales and Marketing team who, through their work over the past month, we’ve seen an increase in the volume of traffic to our website and leads for our new products.
Much more to come in the coming weeks but I wanted to provide an update on our progress. If you have any questions feel free to send them my way or ask any member of the Executive Team.
