Over the last several months we’ve been a part of some encouraging activity related to our Clinical Integration Accreditation program. Last month I wrote about our President and CEO Kylanne Green speaking at a Clinical Integration summit in Chicago. Since that time, URAC’s been in engaged in two high-level events designed to promote the value of our CI program.
On Oct. 10, Deborah Smith, MN, Product Development Principal, spoke at the Children’s Hospital Association’s Collaborative meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana. Deborah was joined by URAC clients from Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The meeting was significant because current clients were given a stage to share their experiences of earning URAC accreditation (Phoenix) and currently going through the process (Seattle). The meeting also provided URAC with direct access to new prospects, the other 20 or so children’s hospitals that were in the room.
Following the Oct. 10 meeting, Deb hosted a webinar on Oct. 25, again joined by our clients from Phoenix and Seattle. Unlike the collaborative meeting in Indiana, which was by invite only, the webinar was open to all organizations. Approximately 111 individuals registered, and 54 attended. Those that tuned in heard about the value of URAC Clinical Integration accreditation straight from our customers. So now, from the sales perspective, the real work begins. Outreach to all the registrants is underway, and the sales team is hearing some promising feedback.
Our efforts to promote and ultimately sales URAC’s CI program is in full swing. We expect our efforts to start producing new business sales beginning in the first quarter of 2018. Now that we’ve engaged clients who are willing to share their positive experiences, we’re exploring additional channels to spread the word of our new brand evangelists. Look for this strategy to be a part of our playbook going forward. As an organization, nothing articulates value better than a current customer. I can assure you, that level of endorsement is indisputable, and it’s exactly what we want.
