
The Monthly Review spotlights a different URACer each month in a Q&A. This month it's Greg McCray, one of URAC's newest Sales staff.
TMR: When did you start at URAC and what brought you here?
Greg: I started in May 2018. I have known Kurt Acker in a previous life he told me he had a position that he felt my background and skill sets would fit. I took a look and agreed.
TMR: What were you doing before you came to URAC?
Greg: Before URAC I have always been in Healthcare Sales ( Picture Archiving Solutions, Radiology Equipment( Digital Imaging Systems) and I was a Navy Corpsman ( performed Radiographic procedure on Vice President Dan Quail, Justice Thurgood Marshall and Senator Hubert Humphrey at Bethesda Naval Hospital.
TMR: Describe yourself in three words.
Greg: Energetic, Passionate, Stress-less ( I like to work hard and Play some what hard :) )
TMR: How do you like to spend your leisure time?
Greg: Working out, being with friends and family.
TMR: What’s your favorite restaurant?
Greg: Ruth’s Chris, I love a good steak even though I don't eat steak a lot anymore.
TMR: What do you like to watch?
Greg: Action, Drama, Science Fiction, Horror, Comedy and Classics; To Kill a Mocking Bird, Psycho, Casablanca, The God Father, The Guns of Navarone.
TMR: What kind of books do you like to read?
Greg: Fiction. Authors: John Grisham, David Baldacci and Lee Childs.
TMR: What's your favorite vacation spot?
Greg: ARUBA – I like complete relaxation laying on the beach doing nothing but reading and the casino’s at night.
TMR: Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Greg: Neither but my wife is a cat person so by extension I guess. :)
TMR: Tell us something about yourself that most people at URAC would not know about you.
Greg: I was once an active martial artist obtaining a 1st Dan in Ta Kwon Do (beginning level of Black Belts) as an adult.
