Social media has revolutionized the way we do business online and connect with customers. But without a strong voice, social media marketing is an uphill battle. This is why Marketing has put together a Social Media Brand Voice Guide. The guide offers direction not only on voice, but also style, tone and how to deal with negative feedback online.

A strong social media voice is essential for building a brand. It humanizes and naturalizes us, making our conversations with people more meaningful. Having an established framework also makes it easier for us to stay true and consistent to our brand at all times. When we are consistent, we can connect with people in a way that positions us to put them in the right frame of mind for our purposes, whether they’re at the top of the sales funnel or further along.

Social media voice is also essential for community building. It makes our storytelling more impactful and conveys trustworthiness. This helps us build a supportive community in times when we need them.

On top of this, a strong social voice gives us confidence in front of our competition. A confident and genuine voice helps us stand strongly by our products, without being resentful or defensive in times of adversity.

This new social media voice guide will inform our social media efforts going forward and make sure our voice is consistent and strong. You can take a look at it on Sharepoint here.
