Workers’ Compensation Conference Reveals New Trends

By Che Parker on 9/7/17 9:08 AM

In early August, the URAC Sales team had the pleasure of attending the 72nd Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference in Orlando, Florida. URAC was well represented not only by the Sales staff, but also our standout marketing presence in one of the most high-traffic areas (see photo). While there, we met several long-time URAC clients who sang our praises (thank you, kindly).

In addition to promoting our traditional programs, such as Worker’s Compensation Utilization Management and Case Management, we had multiple attendees inquire about our Telehealth and Clinical Integration programs. Exhibiting at conferences such as this gives us a clear window into current business practices underway in the marketplace. These types of gatherings also give us a glimpse at emerging trends. For example: new and innovative methods for pain management is a hot topic, as employers and state entities are seeking alternatives and solutions to opioid addiction that’s affecting so many throughout the American workforce.

As healthcare trends shift around us, we’ll continue to keep our ears to the ground, observing and identifying new ways that URAC can have a positive impact on the national healthcare system, truly setting the standard, and transforming healthcare.
