As the year winds down, we want to update you on a few important dates and activities to help make your life a little easier.

To round out 2017, Year End Evaluations will be available on December 1st for managers to activate.  Employees will have until December 15th to complete their portion of the evaluation tool.  Managers will have until January 19th to complete the evaluation and meet with their employees to set goals for 2018.

URAC’s Open Enrollment meeting is November 15th.  As you may know, Open Enrollment allows you to freely enroll in or change your selection of our health insurance plan or other benefit programs that are ordinarily restricted to qualifying life changing events (i.e., marriage, birth, adoption, death, divorce). Our broker from Meltzer, along with our account manager from CareFirst, will be here to inform you of changes to our health plan.  In addition, our AFLAC account manager will provide information on the various coverages offered by AFLAC.  The last date to make a change to your health plan selection is Friday, December 1st.

We will continue to offer our Health Reimbursement and Flexible Spending Account (HRA/FSA), which will continue to be administered by The 125 Company.  In 2018, the FSA limit increases to $2650.

Also for 2018, we are proposing a new voluntary benefit, Supplemental Life coverage with UNUM for employees, spouses and dependent children. For this voluntary benefit to take effect, 12 employees must show interest for the spouse and dependent children coverage to be available. More information about the life insurance rates will be forthcoming at Open Enrollment.

As always, Monica Kiah and I are here to assist you! - (JGreene@URAC.org)
