URAC's first Telemed Leadership Forum attracted 100 attendees from hospitals and health systems, provider groups and telehealth providers. We had two keynote speakers on the first day: Dr. James "Butch" Rosser, a practicing physician and telemedicine pioneer, and Dr. Kevin Galpin, executive director of telehealth services for the Veterans Health Administration.

With a total of 34 speakers, the event was moderated by Dr. Mark Plaster, founder of Telemedicine Magazine and Emergency Physician Monthly. Check out some photos on URAC's Facebook album.

The event was also live streamed and captured, which means all of the videos will be available to attendees to watch again. They'll get 30 days access from the time the email notification is sent to them. But the two keynote videos will be available in full for free to everyone, and we'll be using those to promote the on-demand videos for purchase. When the on-demand videos are available, we will also update the Telemed Leadership Forum website to include the link to register for the videos.

We will also be publishing a number of articles that focus on specific sessions. You'l see these on The URAC Report on the website: https://www.urac.org/urac-report

Hosting the Telemed Leadership Forum and bringing together these telehealth experts from hospitals and health systems, payers, and providers, aligns with URAC's mission to advance the quality of healthcare. It also builds brand awareness for URAC and helps position URAC as a thought leader in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal was to plan an event that delivered valuable sessions, rather than an event that had mostly vendor sales pitches disguised as sessions, differentiating URAC's event from others. Based on the feedback from speakers and attendees, we definitely succeeded. Planning will soon be underway for the Telemed Leadership 2019.
