The Monthly Review spotlights a different URACer each month in a Q&A. This month it's Sheila Brunson, who has been with URAC for nearly ten years.

TMR: When did you start at URAC and what brought you here? 
Sheila Brunson: I started at URAC in 2007. I was in the real estate industry and when it crashed, I decided to change careers and came to URAC.

TMR: Describe yourself in three words. 
Sheila Brunson: Friendly, compassionate and full of laughs.

TMR: Where did you grow up?   
Sheila Brunson: All over. My dad served in the U.S. Airforce and my mother and siblings traveled with him.  So, I grew up in Spain, Japan, Nebraska, Arizona, South Carolina and of course Washington, D.C.

TMR: What’s your favorite restaurant? 
Sheila Brunson: I don’t have a favorite restaurant, but I love seafood. 

TMR: What as the last movie you saw? 
Sheila Brunson: Fences.

TMR: What book do you currently have on your nightstand? 
Sheila Brunson: The Bible.

TMR: Where did you go on your last vacation? 
Sheila Brunson: Las Vegas and Arizona.

TMR: Are you a cat person or a dog person? 
Sheila Brunson: I’m a dog person. I have a 7 year old Shih Tzu. One of the smallest dogs in the neighborhood who thinks he owns the neighborhood! That’s my OG! Which is his name.
