URAC Launches the Inaugural Telemed Leadership Forum

By Allison King on 9/7/17 9:12 AM

In just under two months, the Telemed Leadership Forum 2018 went from an idea to a packed agenda with 25 expert speakers, and counting. We're co-hosting this event with Telemedicine Magazine on March 27-29, 2018 at the Renaissance Washington, DC. If you haven't seen the website, go to http://telemed.org/

Carousel Ad.jpgYou'll see we have an impressive line-up of speakers. The agenda was planned in advance, and speakers were recruited by invitation, not through an RFP. When I called or emailed potential speakers to tell them about the event, those that knew URAC immediately accepted the opportunity. Many of the experts I spoke with said that they are glad URAC is doing this event, and they have a lot of respect for this organization.

The theme of the conference is “ROI of Telehealth,” and it is designed to attract upper level management and physician leaders from health systems, health plans, academic medical systems, telehealth providers, and government regulators/policy makers. The sessions will provide solid, innovative and valuable information on telehealth that helps attendees understand the business of telehealth, including specific goals, real data, creative partnerships, different perspectives in measuring quality, and legal/regulatory issues and more.  The objective is to create a high-level agenda that focuses on the ROI of telehealth, brings value to the audience, and sparks creative and fulfilling discussions. In other words, no commercials. This event is also an opportunity to elevate URAC brand awareness through thought leadership.

The business plan for this conference projects 200 attendees, though the ballroom where all of the sessions will be held can seat 275 attendees (classroom style). The registration fee is $895 (early bird) and $1195 (regular). We will be inviting URAC staff to attend as we get closer to the event and know how many paid attendees we are getting. Hopefully we'll hit our cap of 275 attendees, and in that case, URAC staff attending will need to allow paid registrants to have the seats at the tables.

Please take a look at the agenda and speakers at http://telemed.org, and feel free to email or call me with any questions.
