The Monthly Review spotlights a different URACer each month in a Q&A. This month it's Nicole Haggins, URAC's Application Support Specialist.

TMR: When did you start at URAC and what brought you here?

NicoleI started working at URAC on Oct. 1, 2018. What encouraged me to work here was the idea that I could contribute change and growth.

TMR: What were you doing before you came to URAC?

Nicole: I was a Operation Lead at PBGC which is located right around the corner from the URAC building. In this position, I was lead over four individuals and we performed data fixed on applications, tested, and configured enhancements.

TMR: Describe yourself in three words.

Nicole: Humble, Loving, and Encouraging.

TMR: How do you like to spend your leisure time?

Nicole: I enjoy to spend my free time with family and friends. If I’m not planning fun activities with the kids, I’m usually spending time with my mother.

TMR: What’s your favorite restaurant?

NicoleIf I had to pick one restaurant out of all the few that I visit, I would say Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesday makes some amazing drinks and the ribs are too bad either.

TMR: What do you like to watch?

NicoleI love a good thriller or Horror movie. My favorite classic films would be Halloween, Jason, Freddy, Devil’s Cabin, and The People Under the Stairs.

TMR: What kind of books do you like to read?

Nicole: I love a good crime book or Financial Management. One of my latest books are “All the Little Children” and “The Girls In The Water”, these are some of the books I have read. I have also read “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, “The Total Money MakeOver”, “Power”, “Square Foot Gardening”, and Chicken Coop”.

TMR: What's your favorite vacation spot?

Nicole: I don’t have a particular vacation spot that I would label as my favorite because I’m a water woman. I enjoy any location by the water. When I visit various locations, I usually cook seafood on the grill along with some half smokes and steak.

TMR: Are you a cat person or a dog person?

NicoleI am most definitely a dog person, I currently have large mix bred terrier.

TMR: Tell us something about yourself that most people at URAC would not know about you.

NicoleSomething that most people at URAC do not know about me is that I enjoying the outdoors. I own a Jeep Wrangler and I joined a Jeep group that performs a lot of dirt trail drives and High Terrain climbing.
