The Monthly Review spotlights a different URACer each month in a Q&A. This month it's Monica Kiah, URAC's payroll and benefits administrator.
TMR: When did you start at URAC and what brought you here?
Monica: I started at URAC on July 5, 2016. With URAC's great reputation and my desire to increasingly develop myself, I saw a strong correlation of URAC's needs and what I could offer.

Monica: I was a payroll and benefits administrator for Ourisman Chevrolet and Mitsubishi in Marlow Heights, Maryland.
TMR: Describe yourself in three words.
Monica: Honest, assertive and compassionate.

Monica: Mike's Bar and Grill -- Consistently great food and good memories with good people.
TMR: What do you like to watch?
Monica: I like watching Discovery Channel, History Channel and PBS.

Monica: I like reading suspense novels and both fiction and nonfiction literature. The last book I read and enjoyed was George Orwell's 1984.

Monica: Jamaica, where I have very close friends. The last time I visited, I went kayaking and horseback riding.
TMR: Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Monica: I cannot whistle.
