The Monthly Review spotlights a different URACer each month in a Q&A. This month it's Dan Bramy, one of URAC's Pharmacy Accreditation Reviewers.

TMR: When did you start at URAC and what brought you here?

DanI started at URAC exactly 3 years ago (April 2016). I had connected with someone on the sales side of URAC on LinkedIn- she told me of the Reviewer opportunity at URAC. I took a look at the job description and thought it would be a great way to leverage my experience as well as grow into something new (accreditation).

TMR: What were you doing before you came to URAC?

danbramyDan: I had worked in many different facets of pharmacy- Community, Specialty, and on the Industry side. I wanted to acquire more business style skill sets, so I went to Rutgers and got my MBA.

TMR: Describe yourself in three words.

Dan: Family oriented, loyal (part of being a Cancer), and friendly.

TMR: How do you like to spend your leisure time?

DanSpending time with family, working out, playing tennis, reading, or going to movies.

TMR: What’s your favorite restaurant?

Dan: Valle Escondido Mexican Grill. A few reasons why it’s my favorite at this time- The food is always fresh and delicious, my wife can drink a margarita there, it’s close to the house, and for some reason…the little ones don’t fuss there like they do at other restaurants.

TMR: What do you like to watch?

DanI’ve been watching a lot of home improvement TV shows lately. I also DVR some of the political talk shows at night to catch up on the latest news. I do think shows from the 90s like Seinfeld and Friends are still some of the best around- but maybe it’s because I watched them when I was most impressionable 😊?

TMR: What kind of books do you like to read?

DanI read a mix of fiction and non-fiction. The latest book that I’ve read is the “10x Rule- by Grant Cardone”.

TMR: What's your favorite vacation spot?

Dan: Right now, it’s Bethany Beach in Delaware. We were there last summer for a wedding and we just fell in love with the place- beautiful beaches, family friendly and very nice locals.

TMR: Are you a cat person or a dog person?

DanI’ve never owned either, but at this time I would say I’m a cat person because they are more self-sufficient!

TMR: Tell us something about yourself that most people at URAC would not know about you.

DanI’m a naturalized citizen. I was born in France and my family moved to the States when I was 9 years old. If you want to talk French with me- I’m up for it.
