I want you all to know how thankful I am for the work that you do and the progress we are making as a group. I’ve said it many times, but I believe URAC can change health care for the better across the country and the world.
Last week, we had our Board Meeting in DC and several of the board members told me how impressed they were to meet the URAC team and see some of the work you have been doing. Our board’s role is to help us understand the strategic opportunities that are available to improve health care and connect us with decision-makers across the industry. Many of the board members have decades of experience and have helped us to reach the successful situation we are in today. Their positions are unpaid and reflect their commitment to make health care better. They are very supportive of our efforts to diversify and improve our programs as we look to expand our influence in the marketplace and in policy discussions. Going forward, we plan on having our fall meetings in DC so they can interact with us and better understand the work you do.
We have had a very successful year and I appreciate everyone’s patience with the new CEO (he’s a little odd, but he means well). We have added to our team, added to our products and I look forward to moving upstairs to our new space in the new year. We are in a good place with hitting our goals as we enter the final month and I want us to finish this year strong. Thank you for being with URAC as we enter the year of our 30th Anniversary. I hope this year finishes up with health and happiness for you and your loved ones and you have a chance to recharge your batteries before we continue our journey in 2020. As always, if you have any suggestions on how or what we could be doing better, the email is still sgriffin@urac.org and I look forward to seeing you in the new year.
