The Product Development Team is ready for the Core v4.0 rollout – starting with the release of Case Management v6.0. Case Management v6.0 is a major product revision and the first of many programs to incorporate Core v4.0 in 2018.
What about Core v4.0 as a Stand-Alone Program?
The URAC Executive Team is reviewing whether to offer Core as its own accreditation. Until the decision is made, URAC is not offering Core accreditation to either new or reaccreditation applicants.
Typically, companies who only apply for Core are not eligible to apply for other programs, but want to gain a competitive edge or do business with URAC-accredited companies that recognize the value of independent, third-party review.
Companies that only performed part of an accredited function often applied for a “vendor certification” under the applicable program. Sales of vendor certifications, however, were put on hold – and as a result, some of these companies applied for Core accreditation to obtain the URAC seal of quality. This practice is part of the Core stand-alone review by the Executive Team.

Key Dates
- January 1: URAC staff may generate an Accreditation Application Agreement (AAA) for Case Management v6.0.
- January 22: Case Management v6.0 publications – including the program guide and program standards – will be available to relevant staff in SharePoint.
- January 30: URAC staff may build a Case Management v6.0 application in AccreditNet.
- March 1-2: URAC hosts live workshops (including live streaming) on Core v4.0 (March 1) and Case Management v6.0 (March 2) at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. Also on March 2, we will host a live workshop for HUM/WCUM.
