Yes, you heard it here first – all programs will be republished in the new format in Adobe InDesign and will include updates to program guides.

As many of you have seen with the most recent release of Case Management (version 6.0), as well as the launch of Certification of Organizational Management (version 1.0), the front matter has been streamlined and the current URAC branding applied to the program publications (e.g., program guide, program standards, and standards at-a-glance).

In addition, Core v3.2 and PHARM Core v3.2 will be incorporated into the refreshed publications, eliminating the need for the Supplemental Guide released in August of 2018 that showed the change to the delegation section, which was the only change rolled out at that time.

Where will the refreshed publications be posted?

All publications will be made available to applicant organizations through the applicant portal in AccreditNet, which is where they currently have access. For URAC staff, they will be posted in the current Sharepoint directories used for housing these publications, which includes the “All Staff” section of Program Standards and Maintenance.

When and how will URAC Clients and Staff be notified?

A table covering the release of each program’s publications will be shared internally in April and will include any changes planned for the interpretive guide language. Relevant URAC departments will receive an email notice, as will the applicable URAC clients, once the refreshed publications are posted.

How about programs currently under revision?

Programs currently under revision will be republished with the new version. This includes the following PQM^® programs: Specialty Pharmacy, Mail Service Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management, and Workers’ Compensation Pharmacy Benefit Management.

Can URAC staff provide input on the publications?

Yes, absolutely! Product Development welcomes comments and ideas related to the publications, including content, organization, and presentation.  Feel free to speak to any member of the Product Development Team with your feedback.
